Foundation FMEA

We offer a Foundation FMEA drafting service — a structured and complete baseline FMEA built from the client's technical documentation. Our team develops a DFMEA and/or PFMEA following the harmonized AIAG-VDA approach, covering structure analysis, functional analysis, failure mode identification, effects, causes, and initial risk assessment via Action Priority (AP). The result is a solid methodological starting point that the client's team can validate, complete, and maintain over time, reducing internal workload and ensuring a professional setup from the earliest project phases.

When it's useful

Ideal for organizations starting a FMEA project for the first time, working under tight deadlines, or looking to establish a methodologically sound analysis before involving the internal team.

How it works

  1. 01

    Scope Definition & Documentation Collection

Initial alignment to define the FMEA type (DFMEA and/or PFMEA), analysis boundaries, and expected outputs. NDA signing and collection of available technical documentation: specifications, drawings, BOMs, process flows, work cycles, and historical data.

  2. 02

    Foundation FMEA Structuring & Development

Building the product or process structure following the AIAG-VDA approach (Structure & Function Analysis). Systematic identification of potential failure modes, effects, and causes. Initial risk assessment via Severity, Occurrence, Detection, and Action Priority (AP).

  3. 03

    Internal Review & Client Workshop

Internal methodological review for consistency and completeness. Working session with the client's technical team to discuss the Foundation FMEA, validate content, integrate domain-specific knowledge, and define intervention priorities.

  4. 04

    Delivery & Optional Support

Release of the Foundation FMEA in a shareable format, ready to be maintained and updated by the internal team. Optional follow-up support for completing actions, integrating the FMEA into APQP processes, and training the team on structured FMEA usage.
